The gist of the article is that archaelogist have determined that Homo erectus and Homo habilis co-existed for a time refuting their earlier supposition that H. erectus had evolved from H. habilis. Within the article the archaelogists state that instead of their earlier postulate, that Homo erectus and Homo habilis have a common ancestor further back during a time period when the fossil record is essentially a blank.
Nothing in this article supports creationism and nothing in this article refutes evolution. The conclusions drawn are that the precise pathway to the evolution of Homo sapiens is not what it was believed to be.
I find the conclusions to be illogical and ill-conceived....but, as I am not being paid to offer my opinion on this subject, I'll leave the peer review prove Dr. Leakey the fool.

It's an interesting article about two pre-human primate species. It once appeared that one might be the ancestor of the other. Now they have discovered that the two may have lived at the same time, and evolved separately from a common ancestor. This is how our scientific knowledge increases. Fascinating!

I think that before claiming it's proof against evolution people should actually read the article first.

Neat, but it really has nothing to do with creationism.
I highly doubt anything change the fact that YEC has to break the laws of physics. Period.

They found another type of homo.
Which is great, but the creationist think it's bad for evolution.
They are mistaken.
In science we are based on facts and new info, in christianity new info is bad.
I think this is why they are confused.
