My friend, I don't want to give out his real name, so I'll call him 'Joe,' lives in a large city (similar to Boston) and from time to time he sees midgets. Joe will not stop talking to me about them, and it's been months now. I think he wants to date one, because I joked with him about it once, and he got all serious. He's gone out on dates with girls before, but they never work out. I really think he needs to date a midget just to get this out of his system. Or maybe that is what would make him truly happy. I wish I could say I was making this up, but it is true. Should I encourage Joe to talk to the next midget he sees, and maybe ask her out? Is that too extreme?

I think "little people" is a more politically correct term.
God bless him. Everyone should have a fetish (as long as it's harmless).
You should encourage Joe to make himself happy regardless of what other people think. Unless his "little person" fetish crosses the line into brutality or unwanted domination. Then you should encourage him to seek therapy.

not really. I mean maybe the midget has a fetish for regular size people. srry that is a hard question to answer I hav never been in that sistuation. Best of luck to your friend.

Ok 1st there are many types of fetishes so i wouldn't just brush this off. if you want suggest it but don't give him a hard shove about it. Some fetishes are short term pleasures or the person only zones in on the one thing they are crazy about and nothing else about that person which can get on his (soon to be) date's last nerve.

Not the next midget he sees. That would be insensitive. If he happens to be attracted to a midget and he wants to talk to her, ecourage him. Midgets are just like other girls, with less length.

A fetish is not a normal behavior or it would not be called "fetish". It is none of your business if he dates small or midget women. I would leave that subject along ALL together.

this is coming from someone who isnt very experienced in dating but would sugest encourage your mate to try aproaching some and strike up a coversation with a midget he may find atractive - tell him to try to see if its his thing but make sure it with a girl that he strikes it up well with and see how he feels about it
