is that so? i am atheist. well anyway i found a lost chapter or something that he supposedly wrote to his apostles that i found to be quite intriguing i can't remember the exact text it was in Hebrew or something and i don't remember the exact translation but it was kind of sounding like a bit of a riddle but they disregarded it's existence because it goes against them. anyway it basically said that church is not needed god is everywhere and you can worship him anywhere in any clothes and no building will he not be able to find you. i thought it was quite interesting that churches disregard such information just because it goes against everything they have built. also he said he preys for all of us or something before he died i found that quite interesting as well he believed and was willing to die for it that's more than i can say for most worshipers of god or gods. i find him interesting and possibilities are endless but i do not believe nor will i. and also i probably still wouldn't even if i met him personally i would probably think it was a magician or an idiot. so maybe when i die i will truly know but its really to late then isn't it? - by the way i don't remember the exact words and everything but you get the idea. and believe it or not most everything i know isn't from the bible directly i have never read but maybe touched on a few pages here and their most i have learned from movies books i have seen some stuff about certain passages in the bible and also i get my main source of information from preachers church people themselves also i have read many things off the net about certain particular parts of the bible but never actually sat down and read the bible from front to cover. what i do know is it still sounds to me like a fascinating story. but sounds more like a beautiful piece of fiction.

Thomas Jefferson compiled Jesus' ethical teachings into what is now just called the Jefferson Bible. He specifically threw out any mentions of God and miracles. Personally, I think his image of Jesus was overblown, specifically for the fact that much of what Jesus taught (or supposedly taught) was in fact about God. Still, some of his teachings propound a decent humanistic philosophy. It is important to understand that all of his worthwhile teachings were not unique at the time and have direct parallels in many of the Eastern traditions.
Historically, I have mixed feelings about him. Paper clipping his teachings onto the horrible God of the Old Testament is a big strike against him.

I don't understand why I'm not referred to as a Christian. I believe that he lived about two thousand years ago and in his thirty five years or so of life he influenced many to lead moral and ethical lives, including me. But I don't think that he was the son of some god, nor that his mother was a virgin. But I adhere to the teachings of Jesus as well as any of the faithful that I have ever met.

Yeah sure there were a few good things, but it's the baggage that goes with believing those things that I reject. And Jesus was definitely not the only person to exist who gave us some good moral lessons.

Well I'm not convinced that person called jesus actually existed
but what he supposedly preached wasn't original
People were praticising and saying the same things before he supposedly existed

Jesus is credited with teaching many valuably important Life Lessons.
I think the "Golden Rule" is right on....but I don't live by it because Jesus Christ supposedly taught it. I live by it because it's common sense.

If Jesus did exist and the gospel of Matthew records his sayings correctly, his teachings regarding turning the other cheek, not return anger with anger, is excellent advice, and is more likely to lead to greater internal and social peace than a rage attack. However, it is hardly unique, and it is interwoven with ideas that do not help promote good connections with others.

I do believe there was a man named Jesus and he was a good teacher of good lessons. I also think he was delusional in stating he was the son of god and that people in that time were too ignorant to question him.
