I worry more about them than anything. It takes a pretty cold hearted person to say you are going to spend an eternity in torment.

Nobody can condemn another to hell. Your own sins do that for you.
Jesus said, "When God sent His son into the world, it wasn't to condemn the world, but to save it. Whoever believes in the Son of God shall not be condemned. Whoever does NOT believe in the Son of God is already condemned."
What? you think you're good enough to escape God's judgement?
Answer the following questions in all honesty, please, to test your theory:
1. Have you ever told a lie?
2. Have you ever taken anything that wasn't rightfully yours to take?
3. Have you ever looked at another person with sexual desire? (Jesus said that this is the same as adultery)
4. Have you ever been so angry at another person that you wished ill will towards them or worse, that they were dead? (Jesus said that if so, you are already guilty of murder).
Based on just these four of the 10 commandments, if you were honest enough to say "Yes" to these 4 questions, then by your own confession, you are a lying, thieving, adulterous murderer!
But worse than that, while you admit that you have told a lie, would you also admit that you don't like being lied to? That would make you a hypocrite with a double-standard!
Or, would you admit that while you have stolen in the past, that you don't want others to rob from you? Again, this is hypocracy.
Can you honestly say that you have NEVER disobeyed any of God's commandments, that you are absolutely not guilty of committing ANY sin, remembering that if you break even the smallest commandment, you are guilty of all?
Would God have to declare you guilty?
If so, then I've got some great news for you.
While you (and I) are deserving to be eternally separated from God and all that is good, yet God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die to pay the penalty FOR you (and me). Jesus said that He didn't come to bring the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
When you acknowledge your sins before God, and you accept that the death of Jesus was on YOUR behalf, and you are willing to repent (turn away from) your sins, then God will forgive you, reconcile you with Him, give you a new heart, a clean conscience, and make you part of His Forever Family.
Then, if that's not enough, when you die, He will take you to heaven, and then He'll say to you, "Well done, though good and faithful servant".
Just think about it - we deserve the penalty, He pays it for us, then tells us "well done" as though WE did something great! If THAT isn't Love, then I don't know what is!
And if you can turn your back on that kind of Love, then in all honesty, you deserve the penalty, after all God has done for you.

as a Christian I can say with 100% ccertainty that they don't have the authority to condemn you to anything or to even promise you anything. Although Jesus died for them (and us too) that doesn't make them authorities!!

you can forget those h*ll raisers, they spread negativity, you can read the Bible yourself and see whats the truth is, it's the only way to find the truth is to look for yourself. There are many books you can read to look for answers. When you are ready to learn the "truth" , you will start your search for answers, your heart will assist you. You can pray today and ask for wisdom to start your journey. Love life and live to love and refuse all negativity in your life.

I just brush it off and not worry about it. They don;t know me as a person and its very rude of them to assume I'm going to hell

The only time I'd worry about it is if they were intent on personally sending you to "hell" right then & there.

Better question might be...
Where you have decided to spend eternity? (Rhetorical question...)
God honors your request in where you want to spend eternity. He doesn't send anyone to hell but He will honor your choice.
Peace

Out of politeness, I try not to smile. To me it's the same as a full-grown adult tremblingly telling me that the monster under my bed is going to swallow me.

men don't "tell" anyone or have the right to tell anyone they will go to hell;
read the bible and make the choice yourself, if anyone goes to hell it's because they refused a free gift of grace.
