Sorry, but if you want to cure your cat, you better take him to the vet.

This could be serious indijestion. Rapid weight loss is a red flag to let the vet check him out. Your vet will probably give your cat some medicine and products to help him.

This COULD be hairballs, but I doubt it. Hairballs usually happen once every two months depending on the fur lenght and season. You can see the furballs in the barf. A worse condition, could be an intestine obstruction; this explains why he's trying to barf it up. Your vet will give your cat kitty laxative, which will help the obstruction pass through the other end.

Since he is barfing up a lot, he's not getting the nutrients he needs, which can make him very weak. You need to stop this problem.

You can try cat grass to cure indijestion, but you'll still need to go to the vet if you want to try this out.

Take note of the color of the vomit (gross, but this can help with the diagnosis). If it's green it's a sign he's barfing up stomach acid. That's not good.

Ask yourself: Did anything or anyone change around the house? New furniture? Rearangement? Lots of new people at a party? This could all change the cat's temperament, but I'm positive it's something more serious than this.

Besides, would you rather let your cat get worse and worse and suffer (and possibly die) than spending some money on the vet? If you don't have money to pay for vet bills, are you sure you're READY for a cat? But I think you are, by getting a cat, you made a commitment to his life, and now's the time to live up to it.

If you love him lots then you need to take the responsibility as a cat owner and take him to the vet. Vomiting alot is serious thing. As is the weight loss. Meaning he is not getting the food he eats in his system because he keeps throwing up. Losing nutrients and energy. It could be a very simple infection or a very complicated disease. Either way you NEED to spend the money whether you want to or not. I had to do that on my cat a couple of months ago. I didn't have the money (no job) but he was throwing up, losing hair and weight. I rushed him to the vet and he had flea allergies from my sister's cat. He had to take pills and get a shot, now he is better and the hair is slowly coming back. And no fleas!! I also had to wet his food before he ate it because his throat was so irritated. Anyhoo the point is, it that your cat needs MEDICAL help. And that is a serious answer. Goodluck.

Why do you own an animal if you are so selfish? Why ask this question if you know people are going to suggest taking the poor cat to the vet? If your not willing to let loose of some money in order for your cat to live, give it to the humane society or to someone who does care about animals and are willing to take it to the vet! There obviously is no quick fix to this problem since he is loosing weight and can't keep food down....if you REALLY care about the cat you would take it to the vet!

I'm sorry, you say you love your cat but are unwilling to provide health care?

A cat that is throwing up and is losing weight needs to be seen by a vet and they need to do a blood panel to see what is going on with his organs. This is the only way that you will get to the bottom of the problem and the only way you are going to find out what is wrong so that you might be able to help your cat get back to good health.

You should only be an animals guardian if you can afford to look after them!! Seriously!!

When this happened to my cat, it was because he had some bad teeth. Only a vet can fix that. Could also be severe hairballs, an obstruction of his intestines, or something even more severe. The only thing you can do is take him to the vet, or give him up to a shelter. If you love him so much, don't make him continue to suffer, get him help, one way or the other. Good luck!

If you don't have enough money to take care of your pet properly, then you are not a good candidate to HAVE a pet.
Part of taking care of a cat is taking him to the vet when he is ill.
Love will not prevent your cat from dying of an illness that $50 could have cured.
Sounds like a hairball, or some obstruction in his stomach. He is not getting good nutritiion. He may have been poisoned or had a stroke.
Take him to the vet.

Your cat could be seriously ill. If you can't afford the vet take him anyways and ask if they can work something out for you. This might even mean giving up your rights as an owner but if you really love your cat and a decent person, you'll do what you have to do in order to save his life.

Sweetheart, if you love him you need to take him to the vet. If he's losing weight and can't keep down any food then he might have a serious problem. The problem may be able to be fixed if you don't let the cat get any sicker. Be a good pet parent and get him some medical attention.

YOU HAVE TO SPEND MONEY ON THE VET! AND YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS WITH A CAT THAT YOU CANT AFFORD TO TAKE CARE OF IF THAT IS THE CASE!
This could be serious like Feline Leukemia, Please get treatment for the cat or at least have the decency to find someone who can or have it put down so that it does not suffer any longer.

My grandmother's cat did the same thing just before it had babies. However, the vet said this was the only time she had seen any case like this, and her cat was very large to begin with so it is probably best just to take it to get checked out at an animal clinic.
