Yep. Calories are energy, no matter where they come from. Fat, protein and carbs affect your body in different ways as far as what nutrients and functions they perform for your body but calories are a unit of measurement for energy, and if you burn more calories than you eat, you will lose weight.

For some extra advice, I count calories when I need to lose weight but you can afford more than 700 to lose say, 2 lbs a week. Get an account on thedailyplate.com, key in how much you weigh and how much you want to lose each week and they'll tell you how many calories you can have. Like someone else said, if you eat too few it will have the reverse effect. Good luck!

700 calories less than what? How many calories do you eat now? You should eat a healthy balanced diet of at least 1200 calories in combination with exercise and depending on how much you intend on exercising you may need more calories. Starving oyurself does no good and can not be maiuntained for any length of time. Plus if you eat high fats or too high carbs, you won''t feel like doing anything

Yes. You will. But you also need to consider your current calorie level. I agree with the advice that too few calories can also cause problems that result in greater weight gain later - so don't cut below a certain amount.

Did you consider the quality of the food you're choosing? While you can cut 700 calories and still lose weight, the remaining calories should come from nutrient-dense food - and not from "junky", sugary, or "diet" foods. That means cooking a lot of your own meals and making some excellent food choices.

Yes you will.
Though I would definitely recommend you eat a balanced diet of proteins, carbs and veg, Small meals on a regular basis will prevent your body going into starvation mode and will boost your metabolism.... and you will lose weight quicker and keep it off if you stick to it.

eg: 6 small meals a day with exercise.

See your doctor first before starting any weight loss/exercise program.

Yes, I think it is correct. You will lose weight. But... Have you thought of how to control your hunger?

That is what's going to get in the middle to sabotage your plans.

You still need to exercise. You will have more energy the more exercise you get, the healthier you eat and when you have lost excess weight.
