I consider spiritual warfare to be on two levels: The outer influences of the world that make you forget your cause, and the inner temptations that can make a train wreck of your best intentions.

I have a feeling we are all going to be sorely tried. Thank you for your answers and opinions.

It's interesting to me that you use the furture tense: "we are all going to be sorely tried."

I think if you haven't been sorely tried (and sorely tired!) yet, you're lucky.

In my experience God reveals himself in ways we don't expect. So whatever spiritual warfare is waiting for you, it might be hard to recognize at first glance.

Arm yourself in God's love.

We are tried daily. Some days harder than others. WE have to be willing to listen to the spirit when in those situations and allow God to lead us through, the more we draw closer into his loving arms the more we realize that tho we battle the victory belongs to God.

The inner deamons that we all as christians face surface from time to time to tell us that we are not good enough to receive the grace of God, thats when you have to be dressed for battle, putting on the whole armor of God and have the sword of the spirit at the ready to fight.

Just my two-cents

Sorely tried...indeed!! However, it is "putting on the full armor of God" which can cause the worse of situations to become victorious, through HIM!

After all, we as Christians understand that we are in warfare! A spiritual warfare! Therefore, it is through HIS strength, Wisdom and keeping the full armor of God firmly planted upon our minds and in our hearts!

You're right Sanji... Spiritual warfare is truly on 2 levels. There is the war waging between our flesh and our spirit and even on a higher level there is the spiritual warfare waged in the unseen realm in the air. The two are connected, in that the enemy in the air has an ally in our flesh, and the Lord who is Head of Principalities and powers and rulers of authority indwells our spirit.
Truly our day is a battle between Life and Death... Light and Darkness..flesh and spirit... but we can be encouraged that Greater is He Who is in us than he who is in the world. The Lord who indwells us is indeed the Ascended One who is High above all the principalities and rulers and authorities. May we be so sensitive to our part in this warfare. To submit our members as weapons of righteousness unto God.. that the Flesh will have no place in our being. But on a higher note..may we submit to the Ruling of Christ who is enthroned. Not choosing to go our own way but to follow Him as He speaks to us regarding our life and living. May the Lord be Glorified and the enemy shamed day by day as we give ourselves to love the Lord and to live unto Him. May He strenghten us with power by His Spirit into our inner man with might... And most of all.. may we pray for all our brothers and sisters who battle it out each and every day for the sake of the gospel and the sake of the Body of Christ.

LETS PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD ...Eph 6.. From head to toe...being equipped in every way to stand for the Lord and having done all.. to remain standing....

We are all tried. Some of us are tried more than others.

The biggest thing I've noticed about trials is that, the bigger the trial, the bigger the reward when you pass through.

God always prepares us for the trials we go through. It's whether or not we choose to use the tools he's given us that will determine how successful we will be.

Sometimes I fail, sometimes I win.
