then wouldn't Judism be the one true faith? It's been around longer then Christianity. It's still here as a matter of fact. Perhaps its the one true faith after all because Christianity hasn't overshadowed it in any way.
Or Sumarian paganism. Sure it was stomped out for a while, but its make a pretty strong comeback. Perhaps the Gods just needed some recoup time but they are back stronger then ever.
I am partian to the Egyptian Gods myself and we have a lot of documentation at our fingertips. Our gods never left, as a matter of fact our holy texts were collected by Christians. It's been aroudn longer, so does that make it the one true faith?
Time spent on this earth with humans doesn't make any one faith true.Christianity is a BABY compared to other faiths. Find a new arguement.

Well it does seem unrealistic that god would just pick some random point in time to change all the rules he expects people to live by. It seems like the actions Jesus advocated were very often the direct opposite of the actions Jehovah advocated. "Turn the Other Cheek" compared to "An Eye for an Eye", for instance.
Why would a true god wait for thousands of years before telling mankind something as vitally important as how to "be saved"? A true god would have to have been around from the very dawn of time and would have had to tell humans everything important right from the start. That pretty much leaves out christianity and islam.
Also, a true god would have to be the god of all mankind, not just some little group of desert dwellers. The idea that a true god would choose to favor the Jews is nothing but an indicator that the ancient Jews were very self-centered and egotistical.
A lot of the old pagan faiths were really extremely similar, just having different names for the same gods or slight, and unimportant, variations in the gods. If you are going to try to pick a religion based on things like ancient truths, you would have to look at paganism or Hinduism.

I'm a Christian, but anybody who would try to argue that Christianity is right just because it's been around for so long is lame.
To me, it's the one true faith because it's the only one where the God of all the universe came to earth and became human, so that humans could become more like him. It's the one true faith to me because I know something ineffable in my heart.
The length of time it has been around has nothing to do with it.

Hinduism is probably the oldest organized religion. We have archaeological evidence going back to approximately 3000 BCE (1000 years before the alleged flood).

I think there is plenty of evidence to show that longevity and validity are in no way related. I mean, Fergie is still popular.

Actually, Hinduism is even older. Sun worship, in general, has never gone away.
Yes, it is a poor argument.

There were people before there was any religion or belief in gods. Atheism wins.
