They ripped me off and ignore my complaints. What should I do?

I bought their best lenses with Scotchgard and an anti-reflective coating. I rarely wore the glasses and honestly took great care of them. Within 3 months craze lines spontaneously started developing on both lenses. Each day they grew worse even though I was not wearing them , nor were they subjected to extreme heat. I approached the store manager with this problem and she didn't know what it was. She showed the "crafters" the glasses and then proceeded to tell me it was all my fault. I sat on them or left them in the car. Neither of these things happened. They refused to replace the lenses and started laughing. My personal optometrist agreed that most likely it was a defect in the A/R coating.

I contacted customer service and they stated the letter was forwarded to the general manager. Since that time I have been completely ignored. I am not the only one who has had problems with LensCrafters. Look at your local Better Business Bureua online. They ignore other complaints as well.

How did they rip you off? I never have and don't know anyone who has. This almost sounds like your problem, not theirs.

Yes, but not in the same way as what happened to you. Lenscrafters was where I got my very first pair of glasses when I was 7 years old, and the doctor was just plain mean to me because I was just a kid. Then when I got the glasses, they made it look like the floor was going uphill (this lasted for much longer than the initial instance of this when you first get new glasses), and I brought that up, but instead of checking out what the problem was, one of the employees said "Cool, I've got to get a pair of glasses that do that!". They're always too busy joking around about any problems you encounter to help you. Talk to the manager, but if they won't do anything (which is likely), seek out another place to get your glasses next time (and let them know you're going to do this; hopefully they'll shape up if they know they're losing business over it).

Very little detail, but...
First, write down what happened, in order.
Be clear, so anyone reading it can understand what happened.
Include first and last names of people involved.
With notes in front of you,
1] speak to store manger [ not manager on duty ]. If no satisfaction,
2] call headquarters
