When you are faced with a tough decision on what to wear go in between. Try, "nicely casual." This tip is for future dilemmas. However, I've been to one of these and I, along with everyone else, dressed comfortably (not sloppy, but yes, casual).

everyone at my church dresses casual for VBS. We're a church with a catholic feel to it (very strict, always dress up for church) VBS is a very casual thing.

hey i say you dress casual... i was a teacher for vbs and the children dressed casual! why dress up?!

dress nicely for your first day then if everyone else is wearing jeans and stuff wear just the same. if you're going to be away at school, I suggest you pack some nice clothes andsome ordinary clothes then you can choose.

be casual but remember you are still in a church, jeans are ok but no holes or stains, nothing showing any cleavage and don't show your underwear or lack thereof by wearing jeans that hang waaaaayyyy down......it's wonderful that you are going, you will have lots of fun....enjoy
