The following college and university presidents and chancellors have endorsed a statement by Columbia University President Lee Bollinger denouncing the United Kingdom’s University and College Union decision to promote a boycott of Israeli educational institutions. http://www.ajc.org/atf/cf/%7B42D75369-D582-4380-8395-D25925B85EAF%7D/NYTIMES_COLLEGEPRESIDENTS080707.PDF
Is your college president on this list. I was very glad to my school of study (the University of Rhode Island - Go Rhody) was on the list. Is your and if not what are you going to do about this. I hope you will contact your school and ask why they haven't shown the moral leadership to do the right thing.

Why do I need to be taught something - I am opposed to the boycott Beach - your response doesn't make any sense to me.

Sorry, Rhode Island Mike, you are absolutely correct: I misread your statement. Thank you for posting this list. I wholeheartedly believe in it and will pass it along to my friends. As the American Jewish Committee points out the boycott is "fundamentally flawed and a violation of academic freedom." I am a Roman Catholic who most wholeheartedly agrees with the AJC Committee.

Please read "Three Cups of Tea," tells the story that it is education, not boycotts and bombings of institutions of higher learning, which will lead to peace.

I'm glad I had the opportunity to re-work my response because you are the "Saint" for posting it.

Blessings.

Yep, I bet if he would have refused to be on that list he would have been fired.

Though Richard Joel would never even think of not being on that list. I think he was one of the first few after Columbia started it.

Sadly enough, David Boren, the University of Oklahoma President and former US Senator, is not on the list. I am upset by that.

Thanks for sharing!
