I can see many benefits to this law. One being less mental abuse on children, because there'd be less indoctrination of children. And a smaller amount of the stupid gene would be floating around to catch some unsuspecting intelligent person off guard.

I have no children. None. And I won't either. Not after the crap I've seen with my siblings and their kids.

two is a good number. if you limit it to one, we'd have problems like china did where there was murder and abandonment of girls.

i'm usually pretty liberal, but this is a good idea. those damn duggars just piss me off when i see them on tv. don't they know that the world is way overpopulated?

it's not like we're back in the old days where people HAD to have lots of kids to run farms and such. what is the point? i can see even up to 4 kids AT MOST. Not that this would ever happen, but it's fun to think about.

1st of all it is not working in China. Because many people want boys as that is the preferable gender, the female babies are either killed, abandoned or aborted quite often. Now that the 1st generation under this rule has grownup there are cases where very young girls are kidnapped and made to marry men that are twice their age. This law has become such a headache in China that they are starting to allow rural families to have 2 kids just to even out the genders. (of course they are fined for the 2nd child but no longer forced to abort the pregnancy.

Also how to you tell people who are Catholic that they have to now believe like you do and use birth control. Are you going to personally take this responsibility on as you think you have the right to tell people what to believe? Besides, when you get older you are going to want more younger workers paying into medicaid and SS so you get some SS and medical benefits, if there are not more workers then you will not get those benefits. You need to look at the whole picture not just what you see in your life. Sorry that your family is so messed up, I am one of ;7 kids and we had a great life growing up. Not always a lot of money but we were happy and all of us are very good people. We work, pay taxes, vote and participate in society. Don't tell me that because you see bad things in your family you have never seen good families also.

NO. China has damaged themselves greatly because of this law. It has resulted in an unnatural imbalance of male:female ratio. The problem with the "One child" law is that there are TWO sexes! This results in parents favoring male children while aborting, abandoning or selling female children into the sex industry. Meanwhile, when these males grow up, there will be a shortage of wives, and the only thing they will be good for is cannon fodder. A country that destroys its children destroys its future.
You are as bigoted as any Klansman. You believe anyone who believes differently from you (the "superior master") has a "stupid gene".
On the contrary, your plan would include MORE indoctrination of children, such as teaching your kids that they came from monkeys and brainwashing 10-year olds with kiddie-porn from Planned Parenthood (see "It's Perfectly Normal").

No. I don't think that the government has any right to dictate MY reproduction. Although a smaller level of population growth would be a good thing, it's not something I think a government has the right to mandate. My body, my choice. Besides, it's not working well in China. There are many governmentally-enforced abortions and astronomically high levels of infanticide and child abandonment. It's bad, all around.

Yes they should. We are raping our land of it's resources, and infesting every possible beautiful area like the virus/bacteria we are. Limiting kids is good for the long run, but hey, who gives a damn about the long run, I want my 10 kids to live in a horrible version of Earth.

This would also keep the baby-spamming ignorant population in southern states to slow the infection of the human species with it's horrid and gullible offspring.

Coming from a Mormon community, where the "repopulate the Earth" theory still exists, the average number of kids in my neighborhood was 5. The parents were always pissed off at some kid for something, and couldn't control anything their children did. That has to be mentally exhausting, as well as producing an adult with a troubled childhood.

Well China also has a high rate of infanticide for female children as a result as male children hold more value to the culture as they take care of their parents in old age while females become part of her husbands family.

I think increased education in ecology is a better approach. After all, what would you do with people like family members of mine who because of genetics give birth to twins and triplets without any medical intervention?

Someone is peeing in the gene pool for sure. The people who make responsible and capable parents, a) know how to make a baby and how not to, and b) know when it makes sense to stop having kids.

Personally, I'd rather have no limits on people who can support themselves, but require that welfare recipients be automatically sterilized after some period of time in order to continue to receive government benefits. I don't even mind paying for it! It's better than making me pay to support people who continue to have kids they can't afford and won't even get off their spreading butts to clean the house. Why should part of my paycheck go to pay for their laziness and ignorance? It makes me angry and resentful. I don't mind helping people, but there's a limit to how much help I'm willing to give to a person that continues to make very bad choices.

No! In China, because of the one child per couple, the ratio is three males, for every single female. This generation of males is about 27 years old now.
Doing that would just start a fresh round of feticide.

More than likely this will take place for China has this law and they make up one of ten Nations that has fallen into place under the United Nations in which the Sovereignty of this Nation will become VOID. Yes, The "In God We Trust" will no longer be, for the Antichrist will be the world leader over the United Nations causing all to receive His Mark in order to buy or sell. But those receiving this mark shall be judged by God and sentenced along with Satan, the Antichrist and the False Prophet. But those rejecting it shall be jailed and....Go to trumpetmin.org and click could this be the mark??It is here now...

According to your reasoning we may as well exterminate the human race. See the advantages? There'd be no indoctrination at all and no stupid genes.
