That's a very subjective question. Everyone will have their own opinion, and I don't believe there really is a "Best Ever", BUT...

My opinion would have to be the Ping EYE2 Irons. Very innovative for their time and are still highly regarded and used by many golfers to this day, over a decade after they were first introduced.

The best I've found, and I really have had them all, are the Callaway X-Forged. Project-X 6.0 Shafts. They allow a slower TEMPO, and are explosive through IMPACT.

Best irons "of their time" would be Ping Eye 2. They revolutionized irons.

Callaway, either the Fusions, X-20's or X-Forged. I have the Fusions and they're awesome.
