I don't think it's funny... But why would you ask that? And what does it have to do with singles and dating?

I have a PhD theres nothing funny about it and mostly some people even forget to address a person with PhD as Dr.Its rude a person goes through years and so much hard work and money to get PhD.
Even asking if someone has a PhD like you did i would find your a cultured very well educated well versed well read person with a good upbringing.I would never find it funny and would wonder the same thing as you are doing maybe they have a problem
