You'd probably have a lot of luck breaking a one dollar bill as I've heard lots of spare change going into the collection basket in my days as a Catholic. Hey, do they want you to get a parking ticket? I don't even think Jesus would want that. (((((Gandalf))))

I've often seen money change making from a collection, but never to break a dollar. It's a bit embarrassing, but worrying about it is just as wrong.

Take a look at your bad behaviour before looking down your nose at others.

I respect a Christian who doesn't refuse to put a big bill in the collection, assuming it's all they have. At least they make change to give something ... the amount they should give...the amount they can "cheerfully" give.

Similarly, here in Canada, I've seen US money fished out, and replaced by cheaper valued Canadian money.

Making change is just embarrassing, but this currency substitution is like stealing from God.

You need to go to a church where they don't pass the collection plate.

In some places the plate is at the back, for you to use without anyone seeing.

I've read of a church where they never pass the plate, because they "tithe" (give 10% of their income) automatically!!!

My wife and I tithe 10% and give an offering above that! You see how embarrassing splitting a dollar would be?

But it's no more sinful than not tithing!!!

Don't be so self-righteous about your donations.

In the Bible, Jesus honoured a widdow who gave ALL she had! Jesus gave his all, on the cross, for us. I'm sure you never thought of doing that!

The issue is how much you waste selfishly on yourself, ignoring the needs of others, not how much you give.

You can't take wealth with you, nor the THINGS you acquire on earth! You've got to give it away, to "have" it for eternity.

I've also been to a church where they said, not enough, and passed it again!

first of all what you put in the series plate isn't a deposit, it rather is something that comes out of your coronary heart, to make you experience greater advantageous, to assist pay for the charges of the church, maintenance, cleansing, and so on. "no person FORCES YOU to grant", it rather is totally as much as you what you desire to do alongside with you cash, in case you do no longer provide, you're nevertheless welcome. Now, it does no longer be a withdrawal, it can be a low fee and embarrassing difficulty to do, in case you like funds you may ask the church, they are going to be satisfied that can assist you, you additionally can pass out and detect a activity, somewhat of sitting in church, praying for something to crumple from the sky. God has already given you dissimilar presents, you're alive, you will discover, you may reason, and you have 2 arms (to no longer scouse borrow) to assist your self in greater approaches than one. To whoever (Donna) reported that the church has been stealing for years, hmmm, in the event that they have stolen from you, ***** to God, and stay out of the church, am particular the church won't omit you and all you cash.
