No problem at all with this. I have a friend !?@ who has a major criminal record and that has gone in and out of Thailand probably 10 times in the last year. Never problem. Having a criminal record does not effect you at all on an international basis unless you have made big headlines in the news or something similar. No worries mate!

There are no questions on the Thai Customs and Immigration form you need to fill out before entering Thailand pertaining to your arrest or conviction record, unlike some other countries. I believe if you are able to get a passport you should have no problems coming here to Thailand. For certain types of visas, a police report is required, but for a 30 day tourist visit, it's not required, I think you'll be fine.

Unless you are a fugitive from justice or have committed a crime that has repurcussions of any sprt in Thailand, dont have an Interpol notice for your arrest....there are NO PROBLEMS in entering Thailand due to a past criminal record.

This is valid as long as your home country allows you to travel abroad.

You should be fine coming over on a 30 day visa exempt stay, unlike some countries Thailand Immigration does not ask about criminal history on your customs form. On certain types of long term visas a police report from your home country is required and unfortunately the type of crime you commited would most likely prevent you from obtaining those types of visas, but for a 30 day visa exemption, you should be fine. Good luck.

Yes, I know this to be true because many child predators (sorry I am not a good speller) (I am a left hemesphere brain thinker) move there (convicted here) because of the child sex slavery that is so accepted there. I understand the thaiwanese for doing this, some are starving and we know from Vietnam what a human will do whe nstarved. So, yes, if a crime like that can go any rap sheet can go.

Thai visa system do check on a black listed person, but that's not concernng with criminal record. I mean if you settled that already, i.e. did the jail term for it.
Only if you're on the wanted listed by the interpol, OK, you bought it man. They can get you passing through ports.

Yes, definitely do.
Just mosey around in the dubious bars in Pattaya and you'll see what I mean.

Also, it is well known that Hells Angel "affiliates" were heavily involved in the shadier side of property deals on Koh Samui and at Khao Lak following the tsunami. Indictments were made on the behest of European police, but charges were later dropped.
Did money change hands? Take a guess.
