Ok, For about 6 years now, I have been steadily gaining weight and now I am at the highest weight I've ever been. I am considering gastric bypass, but a few friends of mine had i should consider to try and loose the weight myself. It does seem a much healthier alternative, but I don't know if I can do it. Any suggestions?!

Oh, I was also going to look into that Alli supplement, has any heard about that?

please do it the healthy way, lots of water, less sugar and fat, lots of fruit, enough movement and exercise...
I had the same thing, tried to fix it with all eating disorders in the book, and now i wish i just did it the slower, but healthy way!

You absolutely should leave gastric bypass alone. Just think about it rationally and you can see what a horrible thing it is to do to your body. I have lost over 120lbs now and I haven't starved myself or exercised like a fiend or any of that. You totally can lose the weight naturally and I really hate those lying Drs. that say it can't be done so you will have that expensive dangerious surgery. Step one to losing the weight has nothing to do with what you eat. You have to realize that absolutely 100% of all overeating and 100% of food 'addiction', using food to medicate ones feelings comes back to anxiety and stress. All obesity that is food related (not talking about the very rare thyroid cases) is emotional. Once you have that, you find the tools that it takes to deal with your emotions constructively and without fear. This is why a good number of gastric bypass patients become addicts on booze or drugs after having the bypass.... they never have learned this lesson. Getting thinner doesn't make you know how to deal with the stresses of life if you are a self medicator. I personally found a philosophy that helped me 'get over myself' and also a tool (EFT, which I now teach) to deal with that whole thing. Secondly, I turned to my diet and figured out through research that the physically addicitive part of our diet is sugar in all it's forms. That had to be cut out totally. Now I can't stand the stuff. But after that, the eating part was easy. Please contact me anytime for support. I would be happy to share with you what I have learned and help you.

You can start a diet by cutting out lots of sugar,fatting food, like hamburgers, pizzas, and sweets and chocolate.
And try eating healthier food like look at its calories and total fat. (choose the least calories and total fat)

You can do situps or crunches, at least 50 a day.

You can swim at a beach or pool.

You can jog or take a walk at least 30 miutes or more.

Play a sport or go outside and be active for at least 30 minutes.

Jump rope for at least 20 minutes.

Exercise 3 times per week and a healthy diet. Try and eat a low cal diet and stay away from the chocolate and cake. Good luck

The alli is a better choice for you, it teaches you to eat healthy, because when you eat more than 15 grams of fat per meal your body does not abosorb the extra fat and it is turned into waste, thus causing diarreah. It will actually help you learn to choose more wisely, by causing a negative effect. Simply putting it if you eat too much, or unhealthy-your body punishes you. My sister is using it and she loves it, just remeber to take the pills, and choose healthy foods.

oh, and its safer than by-pass, it is approved by the fda( or whoever approves that stuff), and its also ALOT cheaper.
