If you add the years that Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Jesus died it would equal 5766 which is 2006 (USA time). Any thoughts on other Biblical math stuff?

why is that odd? 2006 was a year ago.

Grant Jeffrey's has quite a few mathematical equations. He found the exact day May 15, 1948, when Israel became a nation in the Bible.

To say that God is the Greatest Mathematician ever is an understatement.

Don't forget to add (1 yr) because there is no zero year between BC and AD.

The universe can be described with mathematical equations. If you compute any numbers, you can always apply some "meaning" to it if you have a vivid imagination. It is called a self fulfilling prophecy, you will always find what you are looking for.

In short, it is a bunch of hogwash.

Does that mean that there will be wars and rumors of wars?

yikes it all must be true

I think that biblical mathematics leads to trouble every time.

Look up William Miller and the great disapointment for a great example.

This is not at all useful, so why bother?

And are you adding alleged biblical ages or years of their death? And shouldn't you use negative numbers for people who died before the A.D. era?

i suppose now you will tell me that god created the world on Abraham's birthday?

hang on, i think i just had a mini-stroke trying to make sense of your application of numerology to biblical "math" (i.e. explaining irrationality with a junk science)

Presuming you have accurate dates for all of their deaths...

Playing with numbers and coming up with something that _seems_ meaningful is just about the easiest thing in the world.

...Are you serious? That is the stupidest thing I have ever read. You can do that to just about any number and "be amazed" at the coincidence.

Another meaningless coincidence.

Biblical math is pointless.
