Apart from the high mileage and the need for a new engine (the truck doesn't run) everthing else is okay. Someone said to advertise it for $1000 OBO. I'm not sure it is worth that much. Any advice would be fantastic. Thanks!

I'd agree with you.
Look at what is for sale at http://www.craigslist.org for anything similar in your area and see what a similar vehicle sells for.
You might be able to get $500 if the rest of the vehicle is in good condition.

you will get about 200 for it there aint no way that truck will see with a bad engine for 1000 bucks

just advertise it for parts, you can get much more that way.
assuming you have alot of people interested.
