Good question, but you first must describe your current condition before anyone could accurately answer whether you can lose the weight and lose it while maintaining good health. If you are 50 pounds overweight it could absolutely be done over a period of a year

Very possible!!!!!!!! The average weight a woman loses when on a diet is 2 pounds a week. That is 8 pounds a month. Plus this last year all I didn't do was not drink soda and I lost 30 pounds and that is all I did! So I eliminated more things like fried foods and trans fats. Try it!! It really does work!!!

Absolutely! 50 pounds in a year is only about a pound a week. You probably should do this weight loss with your doctor since 50 pounds is a lot of weight.
All you have to do is eat less, move more. (On Dr. Laura's radio show recently she said that to a caller). But how true it is. You CAN do it. Do you reeeeeeally want to?

Absolutely...or a boy.
Two pounds a week can be done without excessive effort...that would equal 104 lbs in 1 year...you want to lose just 1 pound a week, so watching what you eat and adding some regular exercise should accomplish that easily.
Good luck!

That is a healthy goal. That is a weight loss of just under a pound a week, which is actually below the recommended rate for long term weight loss.

I lost 40 pounds in about 5 months by just eating right and a little light exercise.
It is very doable.

Yes, it is possible. However it is very important to lose weight with healthy diet. In that case weight maintenance is more realistic. Check out following web site for more details about healthy diets:

Yes, sounds realistic to me.
That's just a little over 4 pounds a month. Very easy to do.
