Yes it does and it is very useful, if you like me, hate dialling 0870 and 0845 numbers at an inflated price per minute.

If you go to the below website and find an alternate geographical number ie starting 01 or 020, then put 141 in before and the company does not know it is a call from a non 0870/0845 number and they answer as normal.

Sky is the worst offender, I was on hold to a 0870 number for 15 mins at 10p a minute before I discovered this website!!!

It does although I think you can have a filter on from your supplier where by if a caller does 141 it is blocked by that filter. it's to stop unsolicited calls

In UK it works on landline and mobile. BUT the number is still recorded and can be made available for police investigations
