I think your trying to say that a person should not be allowed to smoke around a child that is not legally old enough to smoke...right? If so, I agree that it should be illegal for someone to smoke in the same room as a child, preferably not in the same house! I know that's hard for some people who are not ready to give up smoking, but if your ready for children, you should take much better care of your body first! Just my two-pennies worth...

I see your point, I'm not sure the other people above completely understand what your trying to say, there much to focused on your headline, But I completely agree smoking in front of a child is awful and increase risk of asthma and heart disease. Second hand smoke is just as bad as first hand smoke if not worse. Yes it should be illegal to smoke with children around. My mother smoked with me in the car all the time and I remember holding my breath and think how awful it stunk. I would never encourage it,
Thanks for the question

I get your drift. It would be insane to let a 3 year old smoke-- so you're saying its equally insane to smoke AROUND a 3 year old. Second hand smoke is VERY dangerous. I'm glad in Texas they're banned it from restaurants. I see your point too bad alot of people missed it....

Some people would argue that secondhand smoke is not as dangerous as directly inhaled smoke.

Personally, I disagree, and I think it's extremely unhealthy for a child's development to be exposed to direct and secondhand smoke. I think that smoking in the same room as your young child should be banned - if you start a petition to make it into law, I'd sign it.

That question makes no sense at all, of course a 3 year old child shouldn't smoke. Nobody should smoke, get real.

That is the stupidest question I have ever heard. I smoked
for 60 years and my lungs are tore up. I have a hard time
breathing. Why would a person want to start a CHILD
smoking and add to their Health problems? Get Real
with your questions.

Tommy, apparently everyone missed the whole point of your question.
I get it...
And I wholeheartedly agree..
Second-hand smoke is just nasty, and people who expose their children to it are just as neglectful as someone who would put the cigarette in their child's hand.

SECOND HAND SMOKE IS NOT THE SAME AS ACTUALLY SMOKING! Yes , they are both bad for you, but it's worse for the actual smoker. It can harm the child to be around the smoke, but actually giving the child a cigarette is way worse. Smoking around children is bad, duh. I guess I don't get what you are trying to get across.

I agree. If a person isn't old enough to smoke then they shouldn't be forced to breathe in second hand smoke either.

Smokers suck.
