Not the God I love...hell isn't his punishment, it is ours. If we don't believe in him, we will ignore his invitation to his house...that is OUR choice, not his.
As for the employer, no, I wouldn't love a boss who threatened to cut off my legs if I didn't score perfect on a review...but I would love a boss who gave me an honest review and every opportunity to score 100%. I wouldn't love a boss who threatened to set me on fire if I didn't talk him up to everyone I know...but I would love a boss that gave me a hand up out of the fire I was already in with no strings attached. ...and yes, I would love a boss who gave me a list of simple rules to follow and then let me choose whether to follow them or not...I would not love a boss that gave me a bunch of stupid or contradictory rules and then didn't give me a choice about following them or changed them every minute.
I love my son the way God loves me (and you). I don't threaten to hurt him if he fails an exam, I promise to help him pass it. I don't threaten to set him on fire if he disobeys, I promise to reward him if he does. I don't create rules to hurt him, I create rules to help him live a happy life...I don't tell him not to play in the street because I don't want him to have fun, I tell him not to play in the street so he won't get hurt! ...and most importantly, when my son makes a mistake, I love him enough to forgive him and I love him enough to let him suffer the consequences so he won't make the same mistake again.
My God doesn't threaten me with hell, he offers to help me find the path to avoid it. He doesn't make rules to force me to obey and worship him, he gives me advice to help me avoid problems in my life. I just wish you could come to know my God instead of the one you learned about from people that don't have a clue who he is!

it somewhat is a robust question. while a guy or woman dies and is condemned to Hell God's compassion is over for him/her. God does not love devil and that i don't think of that He loves absolutely everyone that follows devil . . . and absolutely everyone that disobeys God is a follower of devil. it somewhat is why it is so significant to redeem ourselves at the same time as we are nevertheless alive and characteristic an danger to settle for the Savior's sacrifice. The Lord does not prefer any human beings to perish - Matthew" 18:14. "No, and that i assist you comprehend lower back that till you repent, you will additionally perish" - Luke 13:5. i think of our being informed to repent or we can perish is letting us comprehend that while we are condemned there is not extra opportunities to be with the LORD. Be Blessed:-)

I understand the comparison of authority your analogy attempts however it doesn't work with comparing a "deity" with a "tangible human being"...
...it's not all blissful fundamental ignorance...many christians like myself struggle sometimes for years, and some "de-convert" others put the faith on hold while doubts from life's hard hand kick into gear but don't lose faith...
to answer your question, that boss would not love me, and based on your question that "i was sure to read" he also never claimed to

No -- I would say it was time to change jobs and bosses, which is what I did. His son opened His own company, and I went to work for Him. I also freelance with some of His contemporaries. We all get along really well.
It was a great choice.

In the late 1980s, TV commercials in the U.S. asked, "What goes through the mind of a driver who is not wearing a seat belt in a head- n collision?" Then they showed a crash dummy having its head crushed by a steering wheel in a collision, and said, "The steering wheel!" Those were scare tactics, but no one complained because they were legitimate scare tactics. That’s what happens in a head-on collision if you are foolish enough to not put on a seat belt. To warn of hell is fearful, but it is absolutely legitimate, because the Bible says that it is a fearful thing for a sinner to fall into the hands of the living God.

Great point. No I would not love a boss who would do that to me. And I do see your point, if god was a loving god he would not do that to us. Of course you know that some people will use the story of Job to try and prove their point as to why god does things

I would say that boss is committing a crime by threatening me and I would report him. He's got serious mental and control issues.

God is God. He made the rules. He gave you life. You should want to love and worship Him. If it weren't for him you wouldn't exist. God's rules aren't that hard to follow. He has given us the choice to choose life or death. You and only you can make that choice.

God doesn't just send people to hell . A loving parent wouldn't break their child's back for stealing a cookie.
