My last name is Lewellon, but i never see it spelled that way, i always see it with the double L instead. I've never met my real dad so i can't ask him where my last name ariginated, i'm Portuguese from my mothers side, and she is full blooded, everyone in her family is from the Azores, if anyone can help me figure out where to look for last names it would be great thanks....

oh before i forget, if it helps, i am white skinned with red hair, and everyone else in my family is all tan skinned with dark brown hair, so i always feel like an outcast, lol even though i can speak portuguese and spanish oh well if this helps it does if not, oh well, lol Thanks.

The name Llewellyn (or simiilar spellings) is definitely Welsh. Before Wales was conquered by the English in the late Middle Ages, there were several kings of Wales with the name Llewellyn.

Another famous Llewellyn is Desmond Llewellyn, the actor who played Q in almost all of the James Bond movies.

Yes Llewellyn, Lewallen,Lewellen Lewellon ---all variants on the same Welsh surname. There may be other variants.

Personally I like redheads. About one person in every one hundred has redhair. In Portugal and Spain you will also find blonds and redheads although there might be more Portuguese who have dark hair.

Best wishes.

Do you see it spelled Llewellyn, or close to that? It sounds Welsh to me. White skin with red hair is typically Celtic, so try looking in Wales in the UK.. Hope this helps
