Pellatur = 3rd singular, present passive subjunctive. Form is jussive subjunctive.
2. The storm was so big that our parents were not able to find us in the fields near the cottage.

The slave was beaten out of this big city. (ie driven out by beating him up)
The storm was so strong that our parents could not discover us in the fields near our hut.
Neither of them make much sense to me, but maybe they do in your context.
