Car
1. Motion, movement away from one thing and towards another.
2. Speed, acceleration.
3. Freedom.

Driving
1. The need or desire to throw all the dreamer's energy into a particular goal.
2. The feeling of having no choice as to how to proceed in a given situation—in short, of being "driven." If the dreamer is not the drive, he should consider who is doing it.

Yellow
Intellect. A problem or puzzle to be solved. Possible setbacks.

The above is from my dream dictionary. I couldn't find anything about saying good byes. My personal comment: You are not saying what her mood is in the dream. Is she sad to leave? Is she afraid? Are the people smiling at her? These might be interesting questions to ask yourself.

The fact that she hates driving has a lot to do with the dream. Many times you dream about stuff that are actually stuff you are scared of. That is why students dream about exams.

Your wife should learn to drive and try driving to figure out that it isn't so bad after all.

Hope I helped.

Yes, but you have to ask the question WHY she is afraid of driving. In my experience, fear of the unknown or fear of change manifests itself in these ways. This dream may be telling her that she must face her fears. In my way of thinking, dreams that have some connotation of movement- vehicles, running, falling, etc. symbolize change.
She has the urge to hug her kids because they represent the familiar, what is known, and she wants to cling tightly to what is familiar. This uncontrollable urge is residual, a result of the dream telling her to face her fears.

dreams are just your brians way of rehearsing certain events or in other words, it's like your mind puts you in a situation and asks you, "now what are you going to do?"
having the same dream over and over can mean that their is something in the situation that your wife hasn't come to terms with yet. if she hates driving, yet dreams about it, maybe she needs to drive more often to discover what it is about driving that has been causing her to continuously dream about it.
