I have an 8 week old kitten.
We can not tell if it is a boy or a girl.

It doesnt matter too much.
We're are just wondering if it's a Tommy or a Tammy.

How can you tell on a cat?!
:]

Both male and female kittens have two openings in the anal area. They are closer together in the female. The one closest to the tail in both sexes is the anus. In a female, the openings look like an upside down exclamation mark. In a male, the testicles in a male kitten usually become obvious when the kitten is about 6 weeks old.

8 weeks, huh. You should be pretty sure. If you can't tell, then chances are it's a Tammy. 8 weeks is old enough for first round of shots. The vet will confirm. There's a chance the testicles have not dropped yet, but it's unlikely.

well sometimes at that age they it is diffcult to find out with some of them?
Although if it is a boy ,he should be showing some signs of his ornaments .
however by 2 months they are really too young to tell .
Give it about another month and see.

I hope you will take it and have it spayed or neutered, by age 4-5 months or 4 lbs...

God bless!

Look under your cat's tail. If it has 2 things it is a boy. If it has 3 it is a girl.

you lift it's little tail up and if it looks like it has balls, then it's a boy. Or if you can't tell then just take it up to the vet. they can tell you.

If he has a little pouch and in front of that a little thing that protrudes, it's a boy. If he only has one very slightly protruding wee-wee, it's a girl. If you are an adult, I am pretty sure you can tell, it's not so much different than humans.
