why do most women love gossip?

some men do but alot more women do!!!

and they talk about other people loud enough so that everybody can hear them!

i heard this lady telling her friend at lunch about how her man has e d problems, are you kidding i would never tell my friends that my girl had problems down there or say is so everybody i work with can hear it.

Women who love gossip are shallow
They only love it on 2 conditions
1 it hurts the person it was started about and
2 It isnt about them
personally i think that its only somthing the kind of snobby caty women do its honestly not worth my time and im not like that any ways

The reality is that gossip serves multiple purposes.

A common point of interest; when there is nothing else to talk about, you can always talk about someone else.

To undermine an actual or perceived rival.

Others find that gossip is a means to get attention. The juicier it is, the better. Self destructive as it may seem for your co-worker to talk about her husband, her goal is to impress people.

Then there are people who use it as a weapon with great meanness. A socially acceptable outlet for their cruelty which in another time may have taken the form of stoning or burning.

The above is most likely the more common type of gossiper. That's my opinion.

It's a means of social bonding and social education - like on here - you can learn a lot by listening to other people's problems and other people's solutions to them.

I think a lot of people do it about other people because they're bored and have got nothing better to talk about. Maybe if women took more of an interest in football or cars they would take less of an interest in other people's lives.

I don't know who you heard. Older generations usually talk about themselves & the younger ones talk about everyone else. It think it all started when women used to stay home alot & had nothing else to talk about.

Now we just learn from our parents or pick it up from friends. Although it's sad it has moved into the norm.

That's my only explaination because I'm not really one of those girls I have friends that do it & I know they talk about me & I don't like it so why would I do it....

Because they are immature and need that kind of attention to function properly. They love the drama that comes along with gossiping about people. That's why I hate it way too much drama for this lil mama.

I guess you really have to limit what you do or say with girls because all of it is public right? They just think the world wants to know that or something! Tell the girl at work what you herd and see if she shuts her trap!

That may be true but not all girls do!
Thats really sad... a lot of girls gossip for attention, or to make themselves look better.
And that is why I perfer to hang out with guys a lot more!

thats how women r they talk about anything 2 each other and then to men they become like all quiet and they dont like to talk 2 them unless they talk 2 them i hate it it pisses me off

MOST women are drama queens and love getting attention......by talking about random crap like that.......thats why most of my friends are guys.....

It's a genetic thing, they cant help it, and yes men are almost as bad, maybe not quite though.
