Probably ear mites. Best wishes on the cat sleeping in its own bed...I've tried and failed miserably on that one three times over!

Clean her ear with olive oil or Epiotic solution. Careful, don't insert a Q-tip deep in the ear. Then you must put a stronghold (selamectin) 15mg spot on ampoule (stronghold is also good for ear mites, but you need to use the 15mg ones, with a pink cap, for small kittens). Repeat after 2 weeks. In the meantime, you could drop some Oridermyl or Dexoryl every morning in the ear. If the ear is not kept clean after 2 weeks that you have done this, go to the vet. You could also go to the vet right now, before cleaning the ear, he can see the black substance in the microscope and test for mites.

kitten.. 2 months.. most likely ear mites.. if its ear mites it usually is dark.. has a not so plesant scent.. and looks almost waxy..

take her to a vet.. its a simple microscope check that will determine if its ear mites or not.. if it is.. all u have to do is clean the ears with a solution they will give u.. and squeeze some meds in once a day.. they'll clear up in no time..

as for the bed.. what we did was when our kitties jumped on the bed we picked them up.. said no.. and put them in their bed.. sat down next to their bed for a little while and petted them until they fell asleep.. had to do it for a week with one.. and 2 weeks with the other.. but now they LOVE their bed.. and know only to come up on ours when we call them

good luck!!

Its probably ear mites. You should gently scrape them out with a qtip and put some vegetable oil in her ear then massage it in with a qtip and then scrape the mites out again and then put more in. Do this twice a day and they'll go away. And if u want her to sleep in her bed, put her bed on your bed and she'll start sleeping in her bed. Once she gets used to her bed U can move it and shell prolly keep sleeping in her own bed. Good luck! =P

It sounds like ear mites you can go to Pets Mart or Pet Co. and get med. for it.. Or even Walmart.. Its not expensive at all.. A kitten wants attention and love so it will want to sleep with you..

She probably does have ear mite,s the vet can give you medicine to clear them up.

As for teaching her to sleep in her kitty bed... this is a cat. She's gonna sleep wherever she wants to. :-) Seriously though, she probably just doesn't want to sleep in her own bed, she likes to snuggle with you, and likes your bed because it smells like you (cats have very sensitive noses). It's normal for cats, especially kittens, to do this because it makes them feel safe.

if you take her to the vet, they can give you something to clean her ears with. my cat had that problem too, so we gave her the ear drops and she's better now. it's hard to make a kitten sleep in a little bed you got it. i tried that too, but it didn't work. she still sleeps on my bed and she's 10 now.

It's most probably ear mites...there are drops you can use to get rid of the problem, then use Revolution drops to keep them from returning. You get Revolution at the vet's. One dose lasts a month. It has to be applied to the skin on back of neck, not the fur or it won't work.

if she scratches her ear than its ear mites.when she sleeps or when shes about to put her in her bed or put the bed on yours than move it slowly away from the bed.

the only sure way to know(and to be safe) is to have her checked out. usually its just dirt. my cat had the same. also, put the bed somewhere quiet and away from food/litter. you may also watch her and see where her favorite spot is and place the bed there.
