I'm a student and I want a studio in Manhattan soon, like by the first of the month. I don't know where to start looking and time is dwindling before school starts. I have little to no preferences except for location. I don't want to be really above 120th street.

A studio in Manhattan is going to be $1500 to $2000 a month. Go to your college they should be able to help you find lodging. Go to the student affairs department. They know best.

How much are you looking to spend. I found my place by starting a google search for manhattan apartments. I ended up on craigslist and a place in brooklyn.

It gives you all the apts. up for sale in NYC and Long Island
