It's definitely not a need to get your dog fixed. People that say there is a need are wrong in my opinion.

Many people don't realize that getting your dog altered can cause problems later on in life, especially if done too early.

I see people stating that your dog will get prostate cancer if left intact, they couldn't be further from the truth. Your dog has a quadruple more risk from getting prostate cancer if altered, compared to being left intact. Not to mention a higher risk for bone sarcoma if done too early as well as orthopedic problems later in life.

Check out this link for the issues that arise from altering your pet and the things that the pro alter people won't tell you.

A male dog needs to be fixed for the following reasons:
1. He avoids teh possibility if developing cancer of his testicles later.
2. He becomes less agressive towards other dogs and calmer in general, although his playful mood is not affected.
3. He avoids suffering from the frustration of not mating with a female.
4. He is less likely to run away and get lost because he needs to find a female.

It totally depends on the dog. Some dogs do stop marking in the house altogether after neutering, some don't. One thing for certain: There is a much better chance of him NOT marking if he is neutered (though the chance would have been higher had he been neutered earlier, before it started.)

The only health problem he is going to have is that he is going to have too many babies. my mother raises dogs, chihuahuas, and has other dogs and I've seen and have an old male and he is fine but we breed with him so his protection is imminent for breeding but it is not going to hurt the male dog if he still has his lively hood. You can check out all your answers on here.
And not having his testicles is not going to hurt him, just look at the dogs that run wild, most of them are fine. Everybody has health mishaps, even dogs and cats.

People tend to be strongly divided on this topic and really it will come down to whether or not you as an owner will think the benefits are worth it.
There are many pros to neutering, but it is not necessarily needed as it is recommended :)

Yes, that is true. talk to your vet, depending on what breed of dog you have it could save his life. A lot of male dogs are neutered to prevent different types of cancer as they age.

No, your dog does not "need" to be fixed, however it is HIGHLY recommended that you do neuter him. You will prevent him from getting testicular cancer, prostate cancer, and he will overall be a better and healthier pet :)

Get your boy fixed... you will be happier and so will he. It is a simple, routine procedure. Recovery is quick and the pain is very minimal.

It is a fact that neutering your male will greatly reduce the risks of testicular or prostrate cancer.

The surgery is minimally invasive and recovery generally very quick, if i were you I'd get them off. :-)
