If a 24 year old is living at home with their parents, then they have to be willing to live be their parents rules. Coming in after 11 on weeknights would be disruptive to the household, and the 24 year old should respect that. If they can't, then they need to be an adult and move out. Meanwhile, I sure hope that if this 24 year old is living at home and not working, they are in school. There is no reason for them to be laying around.

Not at all. If the 24 yr old doesn't want to be in at 11 PM then they should get a job and get out. Things shouldn't be easy for a young adult that doesn't have their **** together. Why? Time to grow up and cut the apron strings.

If you are saying you have a 24 year old, then no it is not being to hard. Is he/her paying rent, buying food, paying bills? If not, tough. You have to pay to have a say! Or stay for that matter. If you, or they, want to be treated like an adult, you have to behave like one. That means stepping up and contributing to the household. If your worried about being to hard, just wait until the real world gets ahold of em'.

No, I think that's the right thing. If a 24 year old wants to be treated like an adult (aka, no curfew) then he/she needs to be out of momma's house and be self-supporting.

it's not being too hard. i'm 24 and i would think it's time for your son to start his own life. but it also depends on what he's doing. my cousin is 29 and lives with his mom but he pays most of her bills and respects everything of hers and he's more taking care of her than her taking care of him. but at 24 he should be paying bills, it's time for him to be an adult.

NO. Most 24 year olds, if they aren't in college, should be self-supporting.
