I am a victim of "identity theft". Long distance calls were placed and now they want me to pay. Long story short, I no longer can make long distance calls. But does that mean I can't receive them? - A nerveous wreck out of Houston here.

You should not be charged for receiving long distance calls. Actually, you should not be charged for receiving any calls. (Unless you are talking about a cell phone, then the charge is for using the airtime, not getting the call)

And, why can't you make long distance calls? Was your service cut off because of the identity theft?

No, you CAN still receive them, just not make them at present. You need to work this out with your telephone company about the identity theft, so you can make them again. :)

Don't worry, you will always be able to receive them. :)

you will still recieve them how ever you can talk to you phone company and see if you can block unwanted calls and it would be a good ideal to invest in a caller id this way you will know who is calling before you pick up.
