Only if the lemurs aren't all that bright.

I'd say that trying to explain evolution to creationists is like trying to explain astrology to an astronomist (and visa versa). Evolution theory and intelligent design theory are both founded in a basic belief that can't be proven (or disproven)...either God created the world or he didn't. Both theories can be supported by science, but all science rests on assumptions that can't be proven. If you look at the pure science of both theories, both are reasonable explanations for the existence of the universe and both require a leap of faith to accept the basic premises of each argument.

I have seen a Lemur post to this page and he seems pretty on the ball. He likes alliteration a lot.

That's very offensive.....to lemurs.

Honestly, you can't properly explain the entire theory of evolution within Y!A and some people don't like to click outside links. So really, theres not much you can do.

You'd be amazed at the accuracy of that. It takes a pretty ignorant dolt not to be able to figure out that an omniscient and omnipotent God would have had no problem creating the evolutionary process right along with everything else in the universe.

More like explaining advanced theoretical physics to people who got their physics from a book on "quantum majgickck"

Edit: Chris, lovey-dove, when fruitflies can no longer breed with other fruitflies and produce fertile offspring, that's speciation, and we see it again, and again, and again. Just because YOU don't know what a species is doesn't mean that species don't form!

No. Brainwashing can be eradicated with time and patience. Those that hold different beliefs than you do are often very similar physically.

Evolution is child's play. Unless they have some sort of mental deficiency anyone can be swayed.

We know that evolution occurs. But you need to read your science books again. One species can NOT give birth to another. Therefore, evolution occurs within a species only and does not change one species to another. But then again, us trying to explain that to YOU is like trying to explain advanced theoretical physics to lemurs. Besides all that, it is the THEORY of evolution, not the scientific proven fact. A theory is just a GUESS.
