a man goes into a resteraunt and orders abalone (a tropical bird) he takes his first bite then goes into he bathroom and kills himself. why...?
clues:
he was recently on a plane.
he is a widower.
i dont usually give clues on riddles i tell but this one is SUPER HARD!!!!

but seriously the fact of what abolone is doesent matter to the riddle, he ate is whats inportant

The man was in a ship that was wrecked on a desert island. When there was no food left, another passenger brought what he said was abalone but was really part of the man's wife (who had died in the wreck). The man suspects something fishy, so when they finally return to civilization, he orders abalone, realizes that what he ate before was his wife, and kills himself.

The abalone is a delicious gastropod found in most of the oceans in the world and prized as a culinary treat among the Japanese and residents of the West Coast of the United States, among others.
As you can see ,an abalone is not a bird, and it could be possible that the man died because he ate abalone
