A very small base with a furniture store. But only like 15 minute drive to Lakenheath, or 20 minute drive to Mildenhall

Congrats on your orders! I hope you are excited!! This part of England is very much countryside and very quiet. That said, there is still a lot to do and see.
Housing... housing here in the UK is very tiny compared to American standards. Base housing is UK based, not USA. Depending on rank and where you would like to live, housing could be quick or it could be a 2 year wait. The housing is run together for all 3 bases.. Feltwell, Mildenhall, and Lakenheath. So all housing is available to everyone. There is also gov't leased housing (glh) available in various towns and villages. If you decide to live on the economy, know that the closer to the bases the higher the rent.
Schools are also shared among the 3 bases, as is the commissary and the bx. The BX has different parts on each base, which is often a hassle.
Medical care is pretty good.. usually quick with dental and medical appts. Have been impressed so far!
Car... you will have to do a light conversion to be able to drive your car here and there will be a VERY thorough inspection every year.
Cell Phones - mobiles. You'll need to set up new phones over here. Most US phones will not work, unless you have a triband with a sim card already.
Expenses - UK is a very expensive place, but your COLA more than makes up for it.

Best advise.. get out, travel, explore, it's a whole new world. Whatever you do, don't walk around saying, "But they don't have.... like in the states".

If you have more detailed questions, please feel free to contact. We've been here about a year and have helped quite a few families get settled.
