OK, I am into geocaching and a local mystery cache in my area has trivia questions about the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I need to turn answers into GPS numbers to solve. I did not watch Buffy or Angel so I have no idea how to answer.

OK... I have to disagree with the above answers.
Technically...Date... strictest definition... conducting an activity that doesn't include the horizontal mambo or matress olympics, the answer becomes 1. That is Angel. Buffy was his girlfriend.
If you include activities of a sexual nature the answer becomes 2. Angel and Spike. She never dated Spike. When she interacted with him, it was all business or of a sexual nature. The closest he came to actually "dating" here was to take her out for her birthday and get her totally hammered. Even then that wasn't a date of a boyfriend/girlfriend nature. She needed cheering up and everyone else was busy. Their relationship was complicated.
The immortal who is her boyfriend in Angel... WASN'T a vampire. He's above that apparently.

Buffy dated Angel and Spike. Also, in the last season of "Angel" when the two of them went to Italy to find Buffy, they find that Buffy's been spending a lot of time with "The Immortal," a legendary bad-*** vamp. I don't know if that counts or not.

yes, only 2, Angel and Spike, the other guys she dated Owen, Scott, Parker and Riley, were not vamps. although Riley almost became a monster creation like his army buddy did..
