Nope

Primo, you are absolutely right and only atheists would think the correct answer to be "yes."

One either believes the Bible or they don't. If they believe the Bible is God's inerrant Word, they also believe in creationism rather than Darwinism. Can't have it both ways. ;-)

Yes. There's a difference between being a Creationist--believing in a literal 6-day (24-hr days) creation--and believing that God created the world. A couple points:

1. The Bible is full of metaphor. Go read Song of Songs (sometimes called Song of Solomon) and tell me if you take that literally.

2. God gave us brains and expects us to use them. This means science is legitimate and worthwhile.

3. If you read the first two chapters of the book of Genesis, you'll see that there are two different creation stories, with different orders in which plants, animals, humans, etc. were created. It's impossible to take both literally. What makes the first more valid than the second?

Not really. Think about what the alternative is:

1. God didn't mean what He said in Genesis 1, that a period of darkness followed by a period of light makes up one day, and in 7 of those dark-light periods of time, God created everything on earth.

2. That death existed prior to the fall, so the New Testament is a lie when it says that death is the result of sin.

3. If sin wasn't the result of Adam and Eve's disobedience, then Jesus could not be called "the second Adam", and His death for sin was folly.

It follows that if you believe in theistic evolution, then you can no longer believe in the fall of man, nor his redemption through the vicarious death of Jesus Christ on the cross and thusly, you can not call yourself a Christian.

It all ties together as a complete whole, or it completely falls apart.

Think it through for yourself, and you'll come to these same logical conclusions.

I don't see why not.

In reality, Christianity, ignores many parts of the Old Testament. They believe that God includes gentiles into the 'Chosen People' fold now, after he spent 4000 years killing them, and trying to keep them separated from the Jews. That is inconsistent with the OT God's actions.

They also find ways to follow some OT laws, while ignoring the rest. For instance, many Christians will quote Old testament text to justify hatred of Homosexuals, but completely ignore OT text that condemns contact with menstruating women. They completely accept overweight people who are desecrating their bodies (the temple of God) but condemn people for self pleasure because they are desecrating their bodies (the temple of God).

There is no reason why you couldn't pick and choose what OT stories to believe in as Christians do this with OT policy all the time.

A Christian, is someone who has accepted Jesus as their saviour.

I know many Christians that have never heard of Moses, or Noah, or any of the people in the bible. So they may or may not believe in the Creation story.

Time and revelation brings understanding of the word, not just becoming a Christian.

Be blessed in Christ

Lots of Christians reject creationism. They take the creation story as a metaphor rather than a literal retelling of events. It seems far more sensible than accepting the Bible as literally true. So yes, you can be a Christian and reject creationism

ok so the family contributors tree element is the main significant reason we believe the earth is 6,000 years previous I mean we believe the Bible is actual principally else so because it incredibly is how we count selection it. besides i've got no longer regarded into this satellite tv for pc element you're talking approximately (i'm going to now although!), yet particularly some earth relationship interior the previous has depended on issues like the quantity of factors in a undeniable substance (like carbon relationship as an occasion) that incredibly, could have replaced via variables different than organic decay (like an erosion or some thing like that). It may be possible (at least for a while) but not wise.

Satan is sneaky, he wants you to start doubting the Bible at the very beginning so you will be open to not believing other things that God has told us.

He uses the same line he did on Eve "Did God really say that?".

There is no such thing as 'Creation Theory'. However, there are dozens of 'creation myths'... of which the bible story of Genesis is but one... and, I might add, one of the least imaginative and least interesting ones.

The Bible says God created the Heaven and the Earth and all things on the earth including man...so if you are a Christian you should believe this.
