Yes, the climate has changed throughout earth's history. We are currently in an interglacial period of an ice age, and ice ages only make up approx. 15% of the earth's total history. So the earth is currently cooler than "normal." But fanatics are convinced that mankind has warmed the planet to some unnatural level. I don't get it. It must be a money making sheme.

The science behind global climate theory is developing rapidly, but is still in its' infancy. There is a lot of conflicting information, which makes the need for more research more important than ever.
It is very easy to look at old data that has been discarded, proven untrue, or made irrelevant by repeated testing, and use it to prove a point, but that's neither honest nor proper, and yet, that's what the popular psuedoscientists on both sides do.

i've actually heard that the only scientific organization that officially rejects global warming is The American Association of Petroleum Geologists and since they are obvious proponents for PETROLEUM which is a contributor to green house gases, I'd say they have an agenda.

What the hell is a 'pseudo scientist'? Seriously, I mean is that like a guy with a high school diploma pretending that he's a scientist or something?

The closest thing to pseudo scientists are the scientists who claim that global warming isn't caused by humans. For example, Tim Ball who claimed to be the first Canadian PhD in climatology and that he'd taught climatology for 32 years. He says we're not causing global warming. He also flat-out lies about his credentials.

In reality there were several Canadian PhDs in Climatology before Ball got his PhD - in Geography, on a topic in historical climatology. Geography! During much of the 32 years cited, he was a junior Lecturer who rarely published, and then spent 8 years as a geography professor. There's that pesky Geography again. How exactly does geography make one a climate science expert? I guess that's why Ball doesn't mention it.

Then there's the IPCC, which is a group of the foremost climate scientists in the world who assess thousands of peer-reviewed scientific papers regarding global warming and then write a report about it. The IPCC is over 90% certain that humans are the primary cause of the current global warming. That's real science, not pseudo science.

Nobody wants to block other country's industrialization or do the contrary which would be to oblige the people to industrialize and change their society at a pace they do not want to accept.

Developing in a sustainable way is not an option anymore, it is a necessity (read any report from the IEA and you will see)

Of course not. Global Warming is an observable phenomenon. The argument over its cause is "a matter of pseudoscientists and populist politicians".

Climate change and global warming are real...there's no doubt about that. However, it is politicians and media hounds who are claiming it's all because of our self-destuctive behavior, that we're going to destroy ourselves within the decade...do I really need to add that most of those media hounds drive gas-guzzling SUVs and fly in their own private jets?

Human activity has certainly contributed, but global warming is also a part of a natural cycle. So, try to minimize your effect on the environment, but don't give in to the panic. We're not going to end the world by driving when we should be walking.

Until the results can be verified by other people, it is just a good opinion, a scientific guess.

Science depends on facts, not a vote of a 'consensus' to verify that it is real or not.

fraid not....the planet is melting....scientific fact.......not pseudo scientists...get your facts staight.....you can research all of their credentials.....time consuming but they are for real.......btw....have you been OUTSIDE lately? my weather report says it's 83 degress.....they are full of ****...it's at least 112....i live on the Potomac River and watch it shrinking daily.....despite massive thunderstorms and rain... just years ago this area used to flood.....not anymore.....and i'm not even a scientist....just a person with common sense......oh and I don't drive an SUV ....though most Washingtonians do.....I believe it's a status symbol around here....GW is surrounded by at least half a dozen when ever he travels in his stretch....I drive a compact car and use corn for gas, I live in a neighborhood where all I need my car for is driving to work. Saying those things is just one way some people deal with an excess of time on their hands and the absence of a work ethic.
