Yes they should definitely do more tests! I take the same dose prozac and had all your symptoms. I had a colonoscopy too and an a new game called 'hunt for the remaining ovary' which was a good wheeze. I have an underactive thyroid which was giving me the sweats so now take 250mcg of thyroxine. Also I have IBS so tummy swollen so people ask me when it's due!. Yes definitely take acidophilus, I have the chewable sort strawberry flavoured. As the other person said try and keep your coffee and tea intake down and drink lots of water. The tiredness should wear off after a while and the sicky feeling will die down eventually. Trouble is, often the depression tablets make you feel ill which makes you more depressed and so on, it's like a dog chasing it's tail. There is a light at the end of this tunnel if you persevere. lol take care of yourself xx

Oh my goodness! I have the same exact thing! Im happy to know im not the only one out there with these symptoms. I did however go to a Gastroenterologist. Yes they are suppose to do tests. The are suppose to push on your stomach (which they did) but also they need you to do at home lab tests (gross, i know) but you need to for a week... they need samples. Also you need to have a colonoscopy done. Well, they didnt find anything when I got it done. They thought from the swollen stomach and the headaches and tiredness that it could be IBS. Look it up online in a google search. It tells you all about it. It can wear you out, make you tired, and depressed and have a swollen stomach. There is no cure for it but let me tell you the best thing I have ever bought in my life that actually made me a hundred times better was when i went to a random pharmacy or store and bought something called acidopholis. its live active bacteria and it helps with balancing your system out. Its only about 10 bucks. Make sure that you refrigerate it after opening. Also, make sure you dont eat anything with caffeine such as coffee, tea, or chocolate because that makes the IBS worse and the symptoms worse. And, as for the tired factor goes, try eating plain white rice, maybe some duck sauce on it for flavoring. That helps as well. I hope this helped and make sure you buy the acidopholis. You can find it near all the medicines and stuff. If you cant, ask someone at the store they will know what it is. Find the highest BTU possible. I found 1 billion active bacteria in one tablet. Its a purple cap with a white bottle I found at walmart and it works amazing! 2 a day, with a meal and you will be better in no time! Good luck! ;)

Fluoxitine is often prescribed by doctors to help you cope with anxiety disorders. (it's what my mother takes for hers)
The side affects of feeling constantly anxious can be sickness and tummy upsets (including IBS and Ulcers), exhaustion, depression, lack of appetite, lack of motivation and panic attacks.
I dont know how long ago you started taking the medication but it can take a couple of weeks to start having an effect on your mood. Stick with it for a little while and try to stop worrying that the doctors have got it wrong or that you might be seriously ill because you probable aren't and all that stress is just making you worse...
Hope it all works out for you

Fluoxitine (prozac) will cause these sweats, so if they came after these then thatll be it, if not could be many many things. Your depression is normal for someone your age, and in my opinion you shouldnt be taking antidepressants, no one should! I don't claim to know how to cure depression, i myself get depressed from time to time, the key is to find something in life that keeps you interested and happy, which is increasingly hard in this commerce obsessed world. I would look into your diet, so many of todays additives (colours and preservatives) have a devestating affect on peoples bodies, so yeah, quit the prozac, eat seriously healthy for a month see if that helps, if not THEN try other methods. Diet is very important.

Every symptom you've mentioned can be related to anxiety/depression,but taking anti-depressants can also give you some side effects that you describe, and anti-depressants really need to be taken for around 2 to 3 months before they actually start working properly and do the job their designed to do in order for you to feel better.
Eat healthily, get as much quality sleep as you can, light exercise daily, fresh air daily and drink plenty of water daily, try these things and if you don't feel any better,go back to the Dr and ask him to do a full blood count test, this test will show up anaemia, thyroid etc... which is what could be the cause of your symptoms.
Don't suffer in silence,if you feel that bad,get back to the Dr,it's his job to get to the bottom of things.

Yeah dont take drugs for depression! Its just gonna block underlying issues at the best anyway!
Ask yourself why you feel bad/sad.......make the changes you need to make. And be brave!

perhaps it's time to consider getting some testing done.
don't let your doctor be LAX about YOUR health! if your doctor doesn't suit you, find another one.
you deserve to feel better, if you can... and perhaps you need a battery of tests run to find out what is going on?
take care ok?

Find a new doctor if your current one won't listen to you.
You know when there is something wrong, and doctors are so flooded with hypochondriacs sometimes that they lose their ability to take their patients complaints seriously.
Make one final complaint to your doctor, and if he doesn't listen... find a new one.
