You should get your facts right the Sabbath is a Saturday.
Jesus done away with following the Sabbath
You should study a little more if you wish to find a more reasonable way to run Christians down and make yourself look like you know what your talking about

Dear, many of us have a calling (job, vocation) that must provide essential services 24/7. Several have been mentioned above. I also work for a hospital.
I could insist that my employer give me Sundays off -- or Saturdays, for that matter -- on religious grounds, and therefore make it necessary for him to find someone else to take that shift; or, I could investigate changing the profession I have worked in for decades; or, I could offer the work I do on that day to the Lord and pray that what I do blesses others.
Which do you think would please Him most?
When asked, "is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?", Jesus replied "If any of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out? How much more valuable is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath." (Matthew 12:10-12)
-- edited to include Saturdays because the same holds true for both.

Actually work like their jobs or as in how they say in the Bible to rest like go to church be with your family.... that kind of stuff?
I think many people don't work on sunday but then there are those who have to for different reasons. Many people don't 'rest' anymore though. Many people are out doing everything they need to get done since many people these days work throughout the week and only have Saturday or Sundays off anymore.
No, the verse still hasn't changed.. just peoples lives and how they have to live are.

Depends. If you are a policeman or a fireman or a doctor you may have to. Jesus said to the Pharisees: "If one of your sheep fell in a pit on the sabbath, would you not get it out?" Jesus struck the proper balance between observing the day of rest and helping your neighbor. By the way, that is why Catholic Churches celebrate Mass 7 days a week. I've noticed that a lot of Evangelical churches only celebrate on Sunday. I've always wondered what provision is made for their members that must work on Sunday.

Yes I do, because according to the Bible, sunday is just one of the six working days. However, I do not work on Saturday, the seventh day of the week, for that is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God according to the Bible. The Sabbath was never changed to Sunday by God. Man changed it, and we must obey God rather than man.
Check out the website I've listed in my sources, it will give you the Bible-based answer to the Sabbath question, and show you through history how man started worshiping on the false Sabbath, sunday.
God bless!

I am a Christian and I am in the US Air Force...Yes I sometimes work on sunday. When I was in Iraq and Afghanistan I worked every Sunday for 32 weeks. Does that make me a bad Christian? What about policemen, firemen, doctors, and 911 operators? They all work on Sundays. Does that make them bad Christians? Do you go to Wallmart on Sundays? Do you watch TV on Sundays? I guess it is ok for the people at the TV stations to go to work in order for you to have TV programs on Sunday right? Some people do not have a choice on working Sunday.

Yes, I work on Sunday because Sunday is the first day of the week. The Sabbath day (or rest day) is Saturday which is the seventh day. There is nothing in the bible about keeping Sunday as a day of rest or worship or anything else.

Only Orthodox Jews hold the belief that the Sabbath is a day of rest, not Christians.
Everyone used to work a 7 day week. The idea of a "week-end" and having the weekend off is a very recent idea, thanks to some French socialists. (they also got our workday reduced to 8 hours).

The Sabbath is Saturday. The Lord's day is Sunday. And I work in healthcare. I'm pretty sure God understands if I can't get to church because I have patients to attend to. I can pray anywhere, not just church =)

If it is a show of disrespect to not be able to provide for my family (or at least mow the grass), then....
So be it.
I work on Sundays.
