Let human resources know that there was a relationship and it is now ending. That way you will have some protection from any problems that might arise at work from the break up. Or find a new job.

There's no good way of doing this. That's why you should never have gotten involved with him in the first place.

The same power he has to help you when you are a couple will be the same power he'll have to make your life difficult if you ever hurt his feelings.

He is holding the handle and you've got the blade. Be careful not to get cut!

Tell him it is over because of his failure to commit. If that is because he is married, he is no doubt enjoying the fact he is able to sleep with a young woman while having no commitments. He make life difficult for you in a way that is difficult to prove so be prepared to leave. Most importantly you are wasting years with him. Find someone to share your life with.

im sure he isn't gonna be that affected. is he married? just tell him that this is nt right and this isn't working for u any more.but that gonna be a sticky situation at the job from now on if he lets u stay. cuz things will change so be ready. but ur a big girls and u got ur self into this and u will have to suffer the repercussion that comes with it.

Your question raises more questions initially, you should have added more background. My answer will be different depending on a number of factors eg
a) whether you are both single or if one of you is married/attached,
b) whether you got into the relationship to get the job or not,
c) what happened to make you want out

Can you help me out here and give more background

I would find another job first becuase when you break up with them they will make your life a living hell or find a way to fire you. Start looking for other employment and then once you find it tell yuor boss im sorry its not working out here is my letter of resignation and move on. Be an adult about it because i can guarentee you your boss wont be adult.

Why did you start a relationship with your boss in the first place?

Ouch...that is a tough one. It puts you both in a percarious position, one that neither of you should have been in in the first place (which is why I totally agree with company policies against office dating!).

well you probably shouldn't have been in a relationship with your boss in the first place. Just tell him you need a break.

Get a different job-- you are going to have to anyway...

Never ,ever date a co-worker (especially your boss)
Sooner or later, there's a fight or breakup, and you still have to work with that person....
