Times Square. It's the so called crossroads of the world. Try the Marriot or the Sheraton Hotels in the Times Square area.

Yeah, your best bet is to try and get at a hotel in midtown, there are many right around 42nd st time square, basically anywhere between 34th street and 59th st and around like Broadway 8thave 7th ave etc. It's the perfect area for tourists, cuz there is so much crap to do all around there, and it is constantly bustling with people! It's almost ridiculous how much is going on there, youv'e got mtv studios, nbc studios, and 10 million other cool things around Time Square. It's actually a bit hectic for me cuz I'm from Brooklyn where things are a bit slower paced... anyway soon s you leave a hotel in that area you will be swept in a flow of good ol fashioned nyc energy! (beware hotels in those spots will be expensive as hell) have a good trip!

Stay at the Marriot Marquis. Its exactly what you'd picture stereotypical touristy area of NYC..plus they opened a Junior's cheesecake place across the street...by far the best cheesecake in the city.

Go to Manhattan! Go to the Statue of Liberty. Just stay away from the slums. Have fun, good luck.
