Technically it is possible that dinosaurs are mentioned in the Bible. Read Job. He talks about "Leviathan," a sea monster that could have been a dinosaur, and "Behemoth," which has a long tail "like a cedar." Many people have tried to say that Behemoth is a hippo or an elephant, but neither of those have tails like cedars.
I would also like to point out that "dinosaur" is a modern word having no ancient equivalent. If the writers of the Bible had mentioned dinosaurs, they would have used the same terms for them as other animals, because there would have been nothing special about them.
Finally, last but not least, the Bible doesn't mention the Aztecs, but that doesn't mean that the existence of the Aztec civilization is a threat to the Bible's Authority. The Bible is an expansive Book but it is really only the bare basics of the story of God and man interacting. There are important events, places, and people which it does not mention, not because those things go against God but rather because they are not necessary for God's Message to get through: that He loves us, that because of sin we are separated from Him, but that He's made it right through Jesus so now we can have a relationship again.
Hope this helps. :)

The word "dinosaur" was not made up until 1884.
The original text, both Hebrew and Greek are much older than that.
The newer translations of the Bible do not use the word dinosaur because the translators are trying to make a match with today's animals.
In the Bible, dinosaurs are called Leviathan, Behemoth and dragons.
There are several places around the world where there are human and dinosaur foot prints in the same rock. Glenn Rose Texas is the best know.
Do a web search with the key words "human dinosaur foot prints" for more info and pics.

Hi and good morning Bb....Actually the Bible does state that He created the world in the Old Testament according to the Book of Genesis. The Scriptures state that God created the earth/world in 6 days and that the seventh day to keep as 'Holy' to worship Him. Now this is where one's faith comes into view. The Bible states that after God created the heavens and earth, He also created all 'living things' which would be classified as to the creatures, animals, trees, insects and even dinosaurs. Now, I myself have an open-mind policy to where I believe that God created all things but evolution might have finished it. I feel that both had a 'big' part in the creation. The Bible doesn't go into depth on what animals He created, it just suggests ''all living things'. So I would imagine this is why all the names were omitted such as the dinosaurs since they are classified as 'all living things'. Hope this has helped. Have a blessed day!

The Bible doesn't mention atoms either. If the Bible went into every single act of creation, how thick do you think it would be?
'Dinosaur' is a fairly modern word, so it wouldn't appear in the Bible. But Genesis does mention 'sea monsters'.
The Bible is about Man's fall into sin and what God has done to redeem him through His Kingdom, so the Bible is not obliged to go into depth about acts of creation that do not have a bearing on that theme. You wouldn't read a book on quantum physics and wonder why there weren't chapters in it devoted to British polictics or crop rotations.

Maybe because dinosaurs were already extinct before somebody decided to produce that wonderful work of fiction called the bible. In any event the intellectual dinosaurs run the religious institutions of the world - like the pope whatsisface-and may want to keep a low profile.

Why does it have to be mentioned in the Bible to exist? Toilets weren't mentioned either. I hope that doesn't put you off to using them!
Dinosaurs existed and still do.
Originally, before the flood, when the shroud of ice surrounded the earth and protected life from some forms of radiation from the sun, people and animals both lived for literally hundreds of years.
Today, the life span of most living things is limited.
Dinosaurs are simply certain species of animals that do not stop growing with age.
Humans, dogs, cats, horses, etc, reach a certain size and stop growing bigger.
Alligators, certain kinds of fish, lizards, turtles and other animals do not stop growing bigger as they get older.
Imagine a 200 year old lizard, and you have your dinosaur.
Simple, exquisite, and elementary.

Not every animal is in the Bible .Why no giraffes? How about Kangaroos?
The fact is Job chapter 40 talks about a creature called 'Behemoth' that stands in the rushing river and is not moved.Eats grass like an ox(crocodiles do not) has ribs of iron and a tail like a cedar tree (elephants and hippos have teeny tails) he cannot be conquered. This can only be one of the last of the brontosaurus 'type ' dinosaurs.Ancient Peruvians carved pictures of men and dinosaurs interacting.Do a search on the 'Ica Stones' (not Inca) you will be amazed.God even says in that chapter "See Behemoth, who I made along with you...."

Because it was written eh a few thousand years before the science of paleontology.
God's "day" lasts 27,756,986,345,345 years but it doesn't really matter because the "author" of Genesis' fax machine broke when God tried to fax down the bible and a couple pages were lost but God fixed the fax machine and the bible was completed although some pages were lost.
Now some people will quote a bit that refers to dragons in some versions of the bible but we all know that a dragon isn't a dinosaur, well all of us who know the difference. They also speak of behemoths well lets be honest a giraffe is pretty damn big and considering millions of species have died off in the last 10,000 years surely some creature stories would be left over to write about... Too bad God forgot to create them in Genisis.
Sugar Bear says " What purpose would it serve mentioning something that is gone & not going to return any time soon!!!"
Kinda like Jesus HUH we've only been waiting for a couple thousand years!
Rod C speaks of Ica stones well... Spanish investigator Vicente Paris, after four years of investigation, offered in 1998 new evidence that supports that the stones are a hoax.

Because firstly the Bible was written 2000 years ago...
Dinosaurs died about 65 Million Years ago...
Also the creation story is not to be taken literally. Many of the the early books were originally hyms or songs that were designed to explain to answer questions on existance. Obviously they didn't have the theory of evolution... It was non specific about animals...

dinosaurs died out millions of years before the Bible was written. Behemoth is NOT a dinosaur, as Job describes the creature as having a navel. Dinosaurs did not have navels, only placental mammals do.
