I have cousins who were Filipino nationals who joined the different military branches. I think after a few years you will have to become a American citizen to remain in the military. Most college degreed officers are commissioned officers instead of enlisted officers. Contact the U.S. embassy in Manila.

Hi,
I am also a Filipino and also planning to join the US military, the USMC more specifically and people do say that there is always a chance for a not native born citizen to join the military, stuffs like neutralization and many more are some process in order for u to enter the US military..
What career do u really prefer? pilot? i do believe that all USAF pilots are all Officers and being an officer do have a very long and kinda hard process..

as long as you have a valid green card that is NOT expired.. then you should be able to join. To enlist as an officer, it is required that you are U.S. citizen though.
I just spoke to a recruiter not even an hour ago about this same issue with me.
After about 4 years.. before your 'contract' is up, they give you the option to become a U.S. citizen or get out. They pay for you to get your citizenship while in the Air Force and give you 4 years to do something about it, then they give you a choice.

you need to be a permanent resident with the 10 year card to join the enlisted side. Once you are in they will also expedite you citizenship. You cannot be an officer until you are a citizen though

other than the green card, I don't know Buddy. Have you thought about the Canadian AF? I spend some time in Cold Lake Canada at an air base with these guys. They were great! Alot more laid back than the US. You might be able to go with the UK. I have a friend in New Zealand that did that.

bare minimum you need to be a legal permanent Resident with a Green Card. the military cannot and will not help you emigrate or obtain one.

Yes. We have Phillipino Nationals in the Navy and therefore I know it is possible, however, it may "limit" your career choices.
