The more you consider a subject like Original Sin the more petty god seems. He created Adam and Eve in paradise, provided them with temptation (but apparently not the ability to resist it) and then threw them out into the cold. And because the guilt of this stacked deck situation he sent his only child down to get murdered. Somehow his death was (inexplicably) a big sponge that soaked up everyone's sins. Doesn't make a bit of sense, but that's how the story goes.

Hi and "no'. God believed that 'all children' were free of sin because they didn't know the concept of sin so this is why they were 'free' from all sins. I imagine God felt that once we came of age and knew or learned the concept of 'sin' then we as His children needed to be 'saved' or 'reborn into the faith'. The Catholic Church believes that there are two sins. One is the 'mortal sin' and the other is the 'venial sin'. The 'venial sin' is the lesser of the two. You can ask God for His forgiveness although you might have 'hurt' your relationship with God. The 'mortal' sin is the most severe since one is breaking one of Gods laws such as 'murder' or 'stealing' or 'adultery' and so forth. If an individual commits a 'mortal' sin, then one needs to seek out a priest and confess, so God may forgive you. If an individual does not seek out a priest for a 'mortal' sin then God punishes them to Hell, according to the Catholic Church. But when one is born or just a child, then they are classified as 'free' from sin since a baby or a child doesn't know the meaning of 'sin'. Hope this has helped. Have a great day!

Actually, the Bible doesn't teach the idea of original sin. It says everyone sins, but not that babies are born with a stain of original sin. That idea originated from Augustine around 400 AD. The doctrine has been around so long, most Christians just accept it as part of the religion due to tradition.

I dont think its necessarily the fact that sin is bad, yes we were all born with it and when Jesus died on the Cross we had a way to be forgiven and since we were then forgiven we are supposed to do a complete 180 and turn away from sin, we can't just sin and then right after say God forgive me, even hough He will your only taking advantage of Hid forgiveness, that why we should have people we can confess to , so that they can help us stay away from the things that will tempt us to sin, lol i really hope this all made sense

Some people look at the summat of a mountain and think it too much effort to to get there... So they sit back down, they dont have a hard life... they have to walk a mile to get water, there are no fruit trees in their village and their livestock is lean due to the lack of lush grass. But their happy to just stumble along with the only life they've ever known.
For some though they will rise up of their feet and climb that extra mile to the summat... they look over the newly found horizon and see flowing rivers of fresh water, bountiful trees of fruit and healthy animals. The people that make it to the summat get to see the good things planned for their future.
Sin holds us back from what God has planned for us, unfortunately most of us are happy to live in sin and never get to see the life we could of had.

It is bad because it seperates us from God. He can't make us "born again" when we are born because He gave us our own free will. We decide what we will do with sin in our lives.

We are all born sinners because of the Whole Adam and Eve thing. The only way that we can be sinless is through Christ. That's why Jesus had died for us. God wants us to realize something through life. What would be the point of living sinless?

some sins are fun.
the Whole 'sin' thing is just a way to scare and control people. right and wrong are what matters, not punishment and reward.
