Not offended at all. I see it as an absolute classic. I was brought up on the Monty Python stuf on BBC2 many moons ago and was overjoyed when they brought out Life of Brian.

One of the funniest films ever made. Religious people are offended by it because it seems from a quick glance to be a spoof on the Jesus Christ legend. They couldn't accept that despite it's sometimes crude but always clever comedy, it also raised some serious questions about how our leaders are chosen. But just remember, Brian isn't the Messiah, he's just a very naughty boy.

Its a fantastic film. Poking fun at how easily led religious people can be and how they feel the need to follow someone.....anyone! Its not taking the p*** out of Jesus. He was in it at the beginning ('Don't you call my husband big nose') then we assume Jesus goes off to do his own thing and Brian takes his mother to a stoning.
I find it funny that Christians get upset by it. It makes no reference to Christianity but the religious types draw their own parallels between the film and their faith and get upset. Basically admitting how ludicrous religion is

It was funny as hell- except for the full frontal nudity. Python members should wear clothes. My favorite parts are the beginning of sectarianism by Brian's followers when they choose to follow The Shoe, making fun of the terrorist/freedom fighter groups by mentioning so many names of the groups who work to the same goal but can't stand each other, and when they want to wewease Bwian but someone else claims to be him like in "Sparticus".

I loved it and can't see the problem with this film.

As Jesus is in it too doing his totally separate thing, the film takes the mickey out of traditional man-made religion and how ridiculous people can be over it, it's no slight to Jesus whatsoever.

ps, I follow the Gourd!

There is no need for being offended by that.. Why, were you? lol. I think that anyone with a good enough sense of humor should be able to enjoy that film and not think about suing or anything like that.

Life of Brian is an absolute hilarious film.

"Whats the penalty?"
"Crucifixion"
"thats not so bad"
"What its the most horrible death you could have"
"Eh at lest it gets you some fresh air":

Yes it is an old film...it was funny because they never say that it is about Jesus...it is about Brian, who is mistaken for a messiah...
