You should be in bed no later than 10:00 p.m. You need a good 8 hours and time in the morning to have breakfast so that your rested, fed, and ready to learn.
You'll thank me later.

I think at 10 years old you need ample amounts of sleep to perform well in school. I don't know about you but when I don't get enough sleep I'm cranky irritable and unfocused. I'm 21 and still need at LEAST 8 hours ( I can survive on 6 but I'm not a happy camper) SO say school starts at 9 (what school starts AROUND 9 OR 10?) and you need an hour to get up get dressed get ready and actually get to school. SO you need to be up at 8. Go to sleep by 10, 10:30 at the latest. That gives you a good 10 hours.... plenty of time incase you can't fall asleep right away or you need to wake up early to finish a project or something. 3 a.m. is just ridiculous! Good luck.

Wow, your mom sounds really tough!... thinks you should go to bed at midnight instead of 3 am....
Sorry to tell you but your mom is a nitwit. A 10 year should be in bed by 9:30 on a school night, and if you are really good, maybe you could stay up until 10:30 on a Friday night.
For your physical and mental health, you should be getting 10 hours of sleep a night.
(School starts "around 9 or 10" !!!!!!!!!!!)

For me in my experience since when I was in grade school until college usually I go to sleep at 9:00 pm and I'll wake up at 5:00 am and I think I'll would suggest you go to sleep 9:00 pm because this is good a to time a sleep earlier and you can wake up earlier next day in the morning and if you had time before go to school you should review of your notes if a having a recitation or an oral test in your school

My son is 11 (he will be 12 in 3 months) and on school nights he has to be in bed at 8 p.m. He has to get up at 6 a.m. to be at school by 7:30. You need to get at least 8-9 hours of sleep at night. It is important for kids to get enough sleep. You will have an easier time at school if you get enough rest and nutrition.

For the next week, be IN BED by 1. (unless your mom says differently.) Then, until school starts,be in bed by 10:30. During school, I get in bed at 9:15 and am usually asleep by 10:00-10:15. (I have to get up at 7:10)
REMEMBER: NEVER take our word over your mom's or dad's)

i think 8:45 cause i get really cranky in the morning so yeah at 8:45 and i went to sleep really late last year so i didnt really get taller or grow much i would go to bed like at 3am and wake up like at 7:00 am so that wasnt good i was really tired. So if you want to be taller than people in school i suggest 8:45 9:10 tops. Hope I Helped :)

You should get about 10 hours of sleep. Midnight is way too late. You should be asleep by 10:00 at night if you will need to get up at 8:00 in the morning.
