I am buying a new car stereo. It will be a sony since I can get it for free with my hard earned Sony points.

I found a hard connect on Amazon but the reviews were terrible. I don't want to use an FM transmitter, it's a pain when I'm traveling and have to find free frequencies.

Has anyone had success with a connector with their iPod? Can you provide the model information?

Virtually all new Sony decks include a built-in auxiliary input jack, either on the front or the rear of the deck. All you need is a stereo cable with a mini plug at each end. You should be able to find this for less than $6.

Alternately, you can purchase a Sony iPod interface that will charge the iPod and allow you to control it through the Sony faceplate. This interface usually retails for around $50.

Either way, there's no need for an FM adapter.

Well first of all do you have a factory of custom stereo? If you have a custom stereo then you should have a few outputs on the back of the stereo, one set is a aux it is for amps and sub woofers, and the the other is for other music inputs such as ipods and stuff.
