I have had my 5 month old male kitten for a little over a month now and I wanted to get him a friend. I brought home 10 week old male kitten. My 5 month old kitten keep pouncing on and wrestling with the 10 week old kitten. It seems like he is being really ruff at times and its constant....he isnt giving the other kitten a break. Is this normal or should I be concerned?? I seperated them the first day between bedrooms..I let the little one out once in awhile...is this ever going to end??

That should really be not much of a problem. Your boys are still both kittens and are going to roughhouse and chew on each other. (At least it's each other and not your furniture or your shoes - and congratulations for having two kittens - they need each other to keep one another company).
If you decide that your older boy is being too rough, you can push them apart. It won't hurt to separate them for a short while, but if you leave your house, let them be together. The little guy CAN fend for himself. They're just playing and getting to know each other! They're just kids! Tell them to knock it off and settle down for a little bit! Separate food bowls are recommended. They can share water.
When you get them fixed (I know you don't have any females, but if you get them fixed early, you avoid much chance they will learn to spray), they need to recover (from the anesthesia) totally separately, and can then spend time together. Your vet may want to wait until your 10 week old is 3 months old, but you really don't have to wait that long. We've done boys as early as 8 weeks, but most vets will want to wait. This was a mass population control thing.

If the younger kitten is in pain, or doesn't like it, he will vocally let you know. It's certainly best to supervise the both of them, as there's likely a size difference between the two. But it's definitely normal that they're playing, and better than the older kitten being upset about a new cat in the house. ;-)

Kittens do have lots of energy, but eventually they tire and will rest.. you'll just have to wait them out. It may be best to only let the younger kitten out when the older one is sleeping, or after you've tired the older kitten out with some play, so he doesn't have the energy to wrestle with the new addition. But playing is definitely normal for kittens, and if the younger one isn't complaining during the wrestling, then I don't think there's anything to worry about. :-)

Yes it is normal I have two cats to only my kitten was four weeks and my other cat was three years old they are just playing with each other mine still do that although you do need to watch them because they can get a little ruff. That was good seperating them we did that and it really helped them to get along better if you gradually let them play together.

They'll work it out.

BTW.. at 5 months.. it's almost time for him to get fixed!! Talk to your vet today about having the older one neutered, if you haven't allready.

Don't wait past 6 months, if you want to prevent spraying and ruining your house.

THat goes for the little one too.

Trust me, if you DON'T.. they WILL ruin your house.

no later than 6 months!!

Well, they can get pretty rough, but the little one would hide or complain if it was too much...just keep an eye on them, & if you think the little one's had enough, separate them for awhile.
Also- try to divert their energy to playing with toys by playing with them yourself.

I think he's trying to play. Probably keep an eye on them when they're together.
